Was decided that:

- The statutes of the organization should circulate among the members as well as the budget.

- Concerning the advisory opinion (AO) of the ICJ.

The AO was an historical moment. A sense of emergency shall be given to our national campaigns. We have the opportunity to put pressure on the EU but one must be sure that there is a grassroots support. The work must be done at a broad level including churches, Jewish organizations and artists... Sanctions have to be the core going out (suspension of the association agreement, of the military cooperation).

Our task as Europeans is to reach united points and a common front.

- The program for the coming months:

• 2-3-4 September: ESF preparatory meeting - Brussels

• 4 September: International day in support of the Palestinian prisoners

• 13-14 September: United Nations International Conference of Civil Society in Support of the Palestinian People, United Nations Headquarters, New York

• 14-15-16 September: Strasbourg – Working days at the European Parliament

Following the 12th June “call from Strasbourg” and in collaboration with some MEPs of the new elected Parliament and the “Collectif Judéo-Arabe et Citoyen pour la Paix”, some representatives of civil society will go to Strasbourg to:

- Present the European platforms of all organizations. To that purpose invitations will be sent to each MEP.
- Personal meetings with GUE and Green MEP
- Meetings with the MEP willing to create the parliamentary group in solidarity with Palestine.

The “Collectif” can provide financial help for the costs of travel for the ones willing to go to Strasbourg.

For any further inquiries, please contact Michel Flament: 00 33 3 88 33 18 75 or flament@evc.net
